Who is Stephen Karbaron?
Stephen has never shied away from leadership and responsibility, even as a young man. His pursuit of excellence means it’s no surprise that a string of successes mark his 40 years in business. Starting his professional life as an optician, he built a reputation that lead him to work with exceptional design companies such as Calvin Klein, and Donna Karan.
He has acted as eyewear consultant for several top international brands, and was commissioned to design an exclusive range of eyewear for Dolce and Gabbana. He has appeared on television, and has written many published articles as an optical industry expert.
Stephen has grown multiple companies with multi-million pound turnovers, and that across several countries. After achieving all he felt he could in the UK, Stephen was head-hunted. As a result, he moved to Russia where he lived and worked for 11 years. He has collaborated with companies in Europe (Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, and the UK) and worldwide – Turkey, China and the USA. His insight into the cultural subtleties that global business brings is extensive.
What is Stephen’s Focus Now?
Ethical business and Conscious Capitalism has been Stephen’s primary sphere of growth for the last couple of decades. He believes in the transformation of organisations through embracing higher purpose, conscious leadership, and a caring corporate culture, whilst paying attention to all stakeholders.
Where did his involvement in Conscious Business come from?
Stephen decided to set his goals back in 2006. He worked out what he wanted in the following ten years, wrote and drew them out – and ten years later realised he’d achieved them all. But he noticed a materialistic theme throughout them, and realised that they no longer described his real desires. Nevertheless, he was fascinated by the process and its success, so he began looking into goal mapping, and discovered Brian Maine. He began studying with Brian, diving into the power and process, and became a Certified Master Mapping Coach.
That’s when his journey towards becoming a Conscious Business Transformation Coach truly began and in 2021 he achieved certification as a Conscious Capitalism Consultant from Conscious Business Journey.
Stephen now lives by the sea in Spain, one of his original goals. He is on the Executive Committee of the Public Speakers Association of Spain, and is a past president of Toastmasters. This has lead to him speaking at many events, both live pre-covid and online during lockdown. Audiences of up to 2000+ live have heard Stephen speak, and he has appeared at online events with even greater reach.
He now reaches out to organisations who are seeking to find new ways to work. His business success and speaking experience, combined with what he has learnt through his certification in 2021 as a Conscious Capitalism Consultant, make him the best person to speak to.
He currently writes regularly on LinkedIn, focused on purpose driven, ethical, sustainable organisational development.
